MHB Overbetuweloop

The MHB Overbetuweloop is the Betuwe’s running event, held in Elst on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The event offers five distances, including the challenging MHB 5 km and Rabobank 10 km, both certified by the Atletiekunie. There are special KidsRuns for children over 400 m and 800 m, as well as a new 1300 m teen run. The course passes through Elst’s picturesque centre and the beautiful countryside along the Linge, making it suitable for the whole family. Start times have been moved earlier to avoid running during the hottest hours of the day.

Race bibs can be collected on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 09:00 at the Town Hall, Dorpsstraat 67. First aid is available, and there are water stations along the course. After the finish, participants receive water and something to eat. Physiotherapists/sports massage therapists will be present. The 5 km and 10 km start together, with an extra-wide start area and space at the front for competitive runners. Electronic timing is used. Children aged 4–7 may run the 400 m KidsRun with a parent/guardian. Medals are included for children; adults can order a medal when registering for €2.50. Dansstudio Kerima will lead a KidsRun warm-up. Extra cooling will be provided in extremely hot weather. The course is certified by the Atletiekunie; medals and prizes for top finishers; sustainable medal options; start and finish in Elst; registration until June 20; volunteers wanted; sports clinics and facilities such as first aid and physiotherapy.
