Ameland Adventurerun

The Ameland Adventurerun is an adventurous running event held in December on the Wadden Sea island of Ameland. Participants can choose from distances of 5, 10 and 21 kilometres, as well as special children’s distances of 1 and 2 kilometres. The event combines a sporting challenge with the island’s unique natural surroundings and winter elements. It is a welcoming event with a finish party and a warm reception for runners and supporters.

After the finish, participants in the 5, 10 and 21.1 km races receive a medal and a special Ameland Adventurerun bandana. The race office is at Sporthal Nes, where participants can collect their race pack. The organisers promote sustainability by minimising the use of cups at aid stations and offering ECO cups. Participants must book their own ferry crossing through Wagenborg Passenger Services. First aid is provided by professionals. A shirt for the Kidsrun is available through Eilandverhuur Ameland.
