Middelseeloop

The Middelseeloop is a friendly running event in Leeuwarden, held in the Middelsee and De Zuidlanden neighbourhoods. The event offers five different distances, including a 1-kilometre kids’ run, as well as 2.5 km, 5 km, 10 km and 12.5 km walking routes. It is suitable for anyone who enjoys running or wants to get to know the neighbourhood better. Activities for children take place all day around the start and finish, and all participants are offered an ice cream afterwards.

Register before 16 March to have your name printed on your race bib. Activities for children take place all day at the start-finish location, including a climbing wall, a football darts board, stilt walkers and Circus Saranti. Walkers will find a surprise along the way. After the event, all participants receive an ice cream from Diana’s IJspaleis, made possible by Zwanenburg. Distances for children, adults and walkers; registration until 11 April 2027; start and finish at IKC Middelsee; participants can enjoy an ice cream after the event.
