Rondje om de Koepel

Rondje om de Koepel is a popular running event in Lunteren and the surrounding area. The route takes participants past the Centre of the Netherlands, over the Goudsberg and through the Lunteren Community Forest, with its distinctive Koepel. The event offers three distances: a 1 km Kids’ Run, a 5 km run and a challenging 10 km run. The course is mostly on forest trails, with climbs and descents. The event is professionally supported, with warm-up sessions and care provided by Therapeutisch Centrum Lunteren. It also supports local charities, making it both a sporting and community-minded event.

A warm-up led by Therapeutisch Centrum Lunteren begins 10 minutes before each start. Changing facilities are available at recreation centre De Goudsberg. Parking is available nearby, with traffic marshals; participants from Lunteren are encouraged to cycle. First-aid providers and traffic marshals are stationed along the course to ensure safety. €3.50 of each participant’s entry fee is donated to a local charity; this year, it is Woonzorgcentrum De Honskamp. Run past the Centre of the Netherlands on a route through woodland with climbs and descents. Advance registration is available. The start location is recreation centre De Goudsberg, where parking and changing facilities are available.
