Gletsjerkuil Ees Cross

The Gletsjerkuil Ees Cross is a challenging cross-country race set in the unique landscape of the Hondsrug UNESCO Global Geopark. The race takes place in Ees and offers two distances: a short route of approximately 5 km and a long route of approximately 9 km, both along unpaved paths through woodland and heathland. The route passes along narrow paths, several glacial pits and the storm-damaged forest with fallen trees, making for an adventurous run surrounded by nature. The cross is part of the Hondsrug cross-country circuit and is organised by Loopgroep SGO, Gieten and Vomos.

The cross is run without chip timing. No shower or changing facilities are available. The start location is Land van Bartje, Buinerweg 8, 9536 PG Ees. Public transport is available via Belbus line 59 from Borger. The cross is part of the Hondsrug cross-country circuit and is the 5th race in the circuit. Course through a nature reserve, starts at 11:00 and 11:10, registration via inschrijven.nl, no changing or shower facilities.
