Boerenkoolloop

The Boerenkoolloop in Warmenhuizen is a friendly race and fun run over 5 and 10 km, starting and finishing on the AV NOVA athletics track. The course passes through the villages of Tuitjenhorn, Eenigenburg and Warmenhuizen, partly along quiet polder roads and the historic Westfriese Omringdijk, where the wind can be a challenging factor. After the event, every participant receives a bag of ingredients for a delicious boerenkool mash, sponsored by Koninklijke VEZET. There is also a 1.2 km youth run and an approximately 11 km walk, which follows a partly reversed route. The venue offers spacious changing rooms, hot showers and additional amenities for comfort.

Race numbers are mailed out and should arrive around 30 October. They can also be collected from the Harenkarspelhal next to AV NOVA up to 15 minutes before the start. Spacious changing rooms and hot showers are available. After the event, everyone receives a boerenkool package with sausage, potatoes and herbs. Parking is available at AV NOVA and at Bejo Zaden BV, approximately 800 metres away. The walking event starts between 8:30 and 9:30; participants must reach the finish by 12:30 to receive the boerenkool package. Registration is via Inschrijven.nl until 25 October; same-day registration is not available. Start times are 11:10, 11:25 and 11:35. Start and finish are on the AV NOVA athletics track.
