11e Molenloop (Molensmooiste) Alblasserdam-Kinderdijk

Molensmooiste is a unique running race taking place on Saturday, 3 October 2026, at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kinderdijk. Participants run past all the area’s iconic windmills. The 10 English Miles consists of two laps, while the 5 English Miles is one lap. The start and finish are in the heart of the windmill area, making for a special and atmospheric experience. With a limit of 1,500 participants and organised under the auspices of AAA Atletiekvereniging Alblasserdam, it is an event for both recreational and competitive runners.

The start and finish are in the heart of the windmill area, with pace-based waves because the start path is narrow. Race numbers and shoe tags can be collected from 07:00 in the runners’ village, no later than 09:00. There is one drinks station per lap. The Kids Run takes place on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, at the AAA Atletiekbaan Alblasserdam and is free; registration is available on site. The race includes wave starts for different distances, is part of the Grote Rivieren Loopcircuit, and registration is open until maximum capacity is reached. Late registration is not possible.
