Zevenheuvelentrail & NK Trailrunning

The Zevenheuvelentrail & Dutch National Trail Running Championships take place in the wooded, hilly area around Nijmegen. The trail features challenging routes with steep climbs, difficult descents and unpaved paths through natural areas such as the Nijmegen hills and Landgoed van Jurgens. The Dutch National Trail Running Championships comprise a 28-kilometre short trail and a 56-kilometre long trail, where athletes with an Atletiekunie licence compete for the Dutch title. The organisers provide a welcoming event with aid stations and a professional approach.

The Dutch National Long Trail (56 km) starts at 09:00; the Dutch National Short Trail (28 km) starts at 12:30. Drinks are available on the course without restrictions, including water, Maurten sports drink and nutrition. Start waves are staggered; the start area opens 5 minutes before the start, and bibs show the wave. Bib transfers are possible until 25 September at 18:00. Aid stations offer a range of snacks and Maurten gels/bars on the longer distances. Registration is open until 12 September 2026; participation requires an Atletiekunie or hardlopen.nl licence or day licence.
