Slangenburg trailrun

The Slangenburg Trailrun takes place on Saturday, 7 November 2026, at De Pokkershutte in IJzevoorde. This trail run takes you along winding forest paths and unpaved routes, surrounded by the beautiful autumn colours of the Slangenburg forest. There are four distances to choose from, including a special Kidsrun for young trail runners aged 6 and up, and an official half marathon of 21.1 kilometres. The atmosphere is relaxed, with the focus on enjoying nature and exercising outdoors, without an awards ceremony.

There are aid stations along the way with drinks and snacks. First aid is available during the trail run. Parents may accompany their child during the Kidsrun, provided they are registered themselves and have a race number. After the event, every participant receives a free bowl of split pea soup with rye bread and bacon. Free parking is available at the venue. There is no awards ceremony; the focus is on having fun and enjoying nature. Drinks and snacks are available to buy at De Pokkershutte after the event.
