Veluwse Winter Competitie

The Veluwe Winter Competition 2026-2027 is an accessible mountain bike competition held on a variety of challenging and varied courses in the Veluwe region, including Nunspeet, Soest, Oldebroek, Apeldoorn, Deventer, Harderwijk, Ede/Lunteren and Zutphen. Races are timed and consist of multiple laps, making them suitable for experienced recreational mountain bikers. The competition comprises up to 9 races and is open to participants with a KNWU or NTFU licence, with enjoyment and sportsmanship at its heart.

The races begin with a draw to determine the first starting rows at Nunspeet and Soest; from Oldebroek onwards, riders are lined up according to the current standings. The starting order of categories 8 & 9 and 10 & 11 alternates from race to race. A transponder is required and is attached to the handlebar plate. Races are timed rather than distance-based and last 5 to 10 laps. The best 5 results count towards the overall standings. A day licence is no longer required; participation without a licence is at your own risk. Registration is via inschrijven.nl and is also possible on-site, with mobile payment or cash. The competition includes several events in autumn and winter at locations such as Nunspeet, Soest, Oldebroek, Apeldoorn, Deventer, Harderwijk, Ede / Lunteren and Zutphen. Registration is handled via email, and detailed route information is available. Live results are displayed on the website.
