Race description
The VechtdalTrail takes place on 31 October 2026 in Ommen and offers challenging trail-running routes of 15, 22, 30, 42 and 60 kilometres. The trails feature little asphalt, plenty of singletrack and varied terrain, including forest and sandy paths and rough grassland. The longer distances include several short climbs, especially in the ‘Beerze Bulten’ area, making the 60 km route a true ultra trail. The organisers aim to make the event sustainable, with no disposable cups, and provide individual timing via a chip in the bib number. Registration is only available in advance, and the longest distance has an 8-hour time limit.
