Sint Nicolaasloop

The Sint Nicolaasloop in Zwolle is an annual running event held on one of the last Sundays before 5 December, Sinterklaas. The event offers four distances: a 1.5 km kids’ run, and the 5 km, 8 km and 10 English miles for adults. The course runs through the beautiful countryside north of Zwolle, past the Berkum and AA-landen districts, and is suitable for runners of all ages and abilities. The event is organised by an enthusiastic group of volunteers from the SNL running group, who provide a welcoming and well-organised race experience.

Race numbers with chips are not sent by post and can be collected on Friday evening or Sunday morning at SV HTC. All participants receive a running shirt; participants who register before 1 October can specify their size. Parking near the start is limited, so cycling is recommended. No late registration is available. Runners with disabilities may take part in the kids’ run regardless of age. The course is not closed to traffic; traffic marshals provide guidance where needed. Registration opens from 1 September 2026 via inschrijven.nl; the maximum number of participants is 1000. The course is marked with yellow arrows; traffic marshals will be present; race numbers and shirts can be collected at the venue.
