Meppel City Run

The Meppel City Run is a running event through Meppel’s historic city centre, with a choice of 4 or 8 English miles. The fully paved, traffic-free route passes beautiful places such as Wilhelminapark and several lively streets. Alongside the main distances, there are also a Kidsrun, G-Run and Frame-Run, making the event suitable for recreational runners, experienced athletes and athletes with disabilities. The start and finish are in the city centre, making for an atmospheric and sporty day for everyone.

The 8-mile race consists of two laps of the 4-mile course, which is extra fun for spectators. All events start on Grote Oever, and the Kidsrun, Frame-Run and G-Run also finish there. There is a warm-up for the G-Run and Kidsrun. All children receive a medal after the event. There is a Business Run for teams of 3 to 5 participants. The course is certified by the Atletiek Unie. The event also includes activities such as warm-up sessions and an awards ceremony, and offers registration by email. The organisers cater to a broad audience, from young runners to experienced athletes.
