Kanonsloop

The Kanonsloop Groenlo is a lively running event taking place for the 38th time on Sunday, October 4, 2026. The race features a renewed 10 km course passing well-known places in and around Groenlo, such as Bommelwereld, Camping Marveld, the Groenlose gracht and De Grolse Weiden city park. Alongside the 10 km, there is also the familiar 5 km distance, as well as a special corporate race with a convivial finish at Brouwernös Proeflokaal. The start and finish are at the Muziekkoepel on Maliebaan / Wheme in Groenlo. The organizers provide a safe and sporting atmosphere, with traffic marshals and timing by Race Result.

Timing uses reusable chips attached to the back of the race number. Race numbers are collected after the finish. Parking is available at Wheme, Boompjeswal and Kerkwal, but not at Maliebaan. The corporate race has teams of 3–5 participants and ends with refreshments at Brouwernös Proeflokaal. Late registration is available until 10:45 on race day at primary school ’t Carillon, Wheme 30; payment by cash or card. Renewed course, online and on-site registration, water and fruit refreshments, and an awards ceremony after the event.
