Drenthe Trail Run

The Drenthe Trail Run is a winter trail run taking place on 29 December 2026 in Norg. Participants can choose from three distances: 7, 18 or 26 kilometres, which wind through the forests, heathland and unpaved trails of Drenthe. The event celebrates experiencing nature, adventure and a friendly atmosphere, with a varied course suitable for both beginners and experienced trail runners. The start and finish are in Norg, and time slots are used to ensure the course remains calm and safe.

Time slots are used for each distance to keep the course calm and safe. Participants receive individual timekeeping and have their first name printed on their race bib. Aid stations offer snacks, sports nutrition and water; participants are asked to bring their own cup for sustainability reasons. First aid and technical support are available at the start/finish. After the finish, there will be food, drinks, music and a friendly atmosphere. A bag-drop area is available for dry clothes. Trail shoes are recommended. Registration opens on 17 June 2023 at 08:00, with time slots used to ensure safety and keep the course calm. The event highlights outdoor adventure, respect for nature and a friendly atmosphere.
