Amsterdam UMC Run

The Amsterdam UMC Run is a unique running event that takes participants through Amsterdam UMC hospital and the green surroundings of Amsterdam Zuidoost. Participants can choose from the 1.2 km Family Run, 5 km, 10 km, or the challenging hat trick, in which all distances are run separately. Alongside the sporting aspect, the event aims to raise money for research and improvements to patient care at Amsterdam UMC. It offers a fun day with music, food trucks, entertainment, and a kids’ corner, making it suitable for runners of all ages and levels.

Start corrals for the 5 km (Green and Blue) and 10 km, with groups of around 300 participants starting every 10 minutes. Race numbers will be ready for collection at the event site and will not be mailed. Employees and visitors can collect their race numbers earlier at the AMC site. A unique running shirt can be ordered, with part of the proceeds going to research. Aid stations with water and fruit along the route. First aid will be available. The course is closed to traffic. Registration is online; the event supports various medical research projects, including cancer and dementia research. The event is car-free and suitable for all ages.
