Waalbosrun

The Waalbosrun is a fun and sporty running event organised by IJsclub Rijsoord in collaboration with De IJsvogel visitor centre. Participants follow a beautiful route through the Waalbos in Rijsoord, along green paths, waterways and wooded areas. The event is suitable for both beginner and experienced runners, with different distances for all ages. The start and finish are at the visitor centre, where supporters are welcome to cheer on the runners. Alongside sport, the event celebrates a friendly atmosphere and community spirit, and part of the proceeds go to charity.

There are three distances: the Kidsrun (approx. 1.8 km) starts at 12:00, the 10 km starts at 13:00, and the 5 km starts at 13:10. The start and finish are at De IJsvogel Visitor Centre. The event is suitable for all ages, and part of the proceeds go to charity. Participants contribute to a good cause; the event takes place in autumn, when cool and changeable weather is expected.
