Race description
The Helderse Vallei Trailrun 2026 is an atmospheric trail run celebrating its sixth edition this year, in memory of Ineke Smit, one of the founders of this trail. The focus is on enjoying the natural surroundings and running on as many unpaved paths as possible, without timekeeping or performance pressure. The routes start at the open-air theatre at Helderse Vallei in Den Helder and offer various distances for adults and children. There are aid stations with water and fruit along the way, and the organisers are working with Stichting Vredesbeweging PAX Nederland on a peace collection.

Additional information
You can register in advance via inschrijven.nl or on race day at the Helderse Vallei visitor centre from 09:30. There is no timekeeping or registration during the run. The organisers are working with Stichting Vredesbeweging PAX Nederland, and a collection box for donations to PAX will be available. Trail run on unpaved paths, beach and dunes; no timekeeping; routes start between 10:00 and 11:00, with aid stations offering water and fruit.
