Race description

The Spanderswoud Trail Run is a relaxed trail run through the beautiful Spanderswoud and surrounding nature reserves in the Gooi region. The 10, 20 and 30 km routes take you along winding forest paths, singletracks and open heathland, with no race element or time pressure. The start and finish are at the Natuurmonumenten visitor centre at Landgoed Boekesteyn in ’s-Graveland. There are aid stations along the way, and afterwards you can enjoy a snack and a drink at Café-Restaurant Brambergen.

Highlights

  • Fully marked 10 and 20 km routes; the 30 km route is partly navigated via GPX
  • Varied terrain with singletracks, forest paths and heathland
  • Start and finish at the Natuurmonumenten visitor centre at Landgoed Boekesteyn

Additional information

Start times for the 10 and 20 km routes are between 09:00 and 11:30 in five time slots; participants choose their own start time. There are two aid stations (approximately at 5 km and at the finish; longer distances have an extra station). First aid is available at the start/finish. The 30 km route requires experience with GPX navigation. There is no timekeeping and no cups at the aid stations; participants are advised to bring their own cup or order an EpicTrails soft cup. Parking is available; carpooling is recommended. Part of the entry fee goes to nature organisations. Trail routes follow forest paths, sandy stretches and narrow trails; there is no race element; start times are selected during registration; GPX data is provided for the long distance; finisher medal; no cups, so bringing your own cup or a soft cup is recommended.
