Oostvaardersrun

The Oostvaardersrun is a recreational running event held in the beautiful natural surroundings near the Oostvaardersplassen, close to Lelystad. The ninth edition takes place on Sunday, 11 October 2026, and offers challenging courses of 10, 16 and 21 kilometres. Due to work in the area, the routes have been adjusted this year, but they still offer a unique experience through Nieuw Land National Park. The event attracts many sports enthusiasts each year who enjoy nature and the sporting challenge.

Race numbers can be resold through a resale platform. Maximum participant numbers for the 10, 16 and 21 km distances have been reached, and registration is closed. GPX files for the routes are available to download. Distances range from 1 km to a half marathon; the start and finish are at the Oostvaardersplassen Visitor Centre. Registration is open until 9 October 2026, with the possibility of late registration and race-number resale.
