Nedmag Moonlightwalk

The Nedmag Moonlightwalk in Veendam is an atmospheric evening walk of approximately 6 kilometres that takes place by moonlight. It is not a race, but a relaxed walk where participants can enjoy various performances and special experiences along the route. The route is accessible to almost everyone, including wheelchair users, and offers a unique way to experience Veendam. The proceeds from the walk go to charity; this year, they will benefit the Margarethe Hardenberg Cultural Centre.

The start location is Museumplein Veendam. Registration is open from 19:00 to 19:30, and participants can start between 19:30 and 20:30. It is also possible to register on the evening itself and pay in cash or by PIN. The walk also finishes at Museumplein. Dogs are allowed if kept on a leash and owners bring their own bags to clean up after them. There are no official toilet facilities along the route, but toilets at businesses or canteens may sometimes be available. The route is a surprising change from the norm; this is not a race, it is suitable for almost everyone, and it features entertainment and support for a good cause.
