Race description
The KLM Aruba Marathon is an officially certified marathon by World Athletics and AIMS, held on the beautiful island of Aruba. The race offers a tropical running experience along Aruba’s coastline, with the start and finish at the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort. It features several distances, including the full marathon, half marathon, 10 km and 5 km, and is known for its festive atmosphere and post-race beach party. The race is a unique combination of sport, culture and vacation, ideal for competitive runners and recreational participants alike.
Highlights
- A tropical route along Aruba’s coast, including Eagle Beach and the famous lighthouse
- The full marathon consists of two loops of the half marathon; it starts in the dark and finishes in daylight

Additional information
Race packet pickup is at the Grand Ballroom of Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort on June 4th (08:00-17:00) and June 5th (08:00-12:30). The race features a Track & Trace app for live tracking. The full marathon has a 6-hour time limit, with a sweeper vehicle enforcing cutoffs. Post-race celebrations include awards ceremonies and beach parties on both race days. Participants receive a personalized start number, timing chip, finisher medal, and a complimentary UV-protective dry-fit running shirt. The course includes beaches and city roads; registration requires ID and age verification; race-day activities include awards ceremonies and festive beach parties.
