Halve van Monster

The Halve van Monster is an annual running event held in November in Monster. Participants can choose from several distances, including the half marathon (21.1 km), a 10.3 km run and a 5.4 km run. The course passes through the dunes and along the beach, with the start and finish at De Wielepet sports hall. Walking tours are also offered over the same routes in the opposite direction. Each year, the organizers support a charitable cause, giving the event extra meaning.

Timing with a reusable SAW chip is mandatory. The chip costs €4.50 and can be returned after the event in exchange for a refreshment. Registration on the day is not possible; online registration is available until 11:00 on race day. The prize ceremony takes place at De Wielepet sports hall after the half marathon. Registration is online in advance only; donations to the charitable cause are possible. No registration on the day.
