AVW 3bossentrail

The AVW 3Bossentrail takes place on 10 October 2026 in Wieringerwerf and passes through three forests in the Wieringermeer. The routes range from 14 to 28 kilometres and follow walking paths, singletracks and boardwalks, with the course on unpaved surfaces wherever possible. There is also a 14 km canitrail, where dogs must be kept on a lead. The trail run focuses on enjoying nature rather than competition, and staggered start groups are used to ensure a calm start in the forest.

Staggered start groups are used so participants can enter the forest at a relaxed pace. There is no timekeeping during the trail run; competition is not the focus. The organisers ask participants to bring their own cup to help preserve nature. The canitrail can be shortened to approximately 12 km, and dogs must be kept on a lead.
